WALLS OF JERICHO Pulls Out Of DEVILDRIVER Tour

February 22, 2008

According to MTV.com's Metal File, Detroit's WALLS OF JERICHO has been forced to pull out of the upcoming Bound by the Road Tour with DEVILDRIVER, which will be launched February 27 in Modesto, California, and also features NAPALM DEATH, 36 CRAZYFISTS and INVITRO. DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez Fafara told Metal File that WALLS OF JERICHO is unable to make the journey because it lost support from its label, Trustkill Records; DEVILDRIVER is currently looking for a replacement. According to Trustkill, though, "WALLS OF JERICHO have decided to push up their recording session dates for their new album and are taking the time now to finish the writing process."

Capital Chaos has posted video footage of WALLS OF JERICHO performing the song "And Hope to Die" on November 30, 2007 in Orangevale, California as part of the "Farewell To Allegiance" tour. Also on the bill were BELAY MY LAST, BORN OF OSIRIS, THE WARRIORS and AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK. Watch the clip below.

WALLS OF JERICHO's new EP, tentatitlvey titled "Redemption", will be released in the spring via Trustkill Records. Produced by Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT, STONE SOUR) at his Iowa home studio, the CD will feature "acoustic instruments, fleshed out arrangements, and Taylor's voice on several songs," according to a press release.
